To be more specific, we’re going to answer two of the most basic, yet undeniably most important questions about our app. The first one we’re going to tackle is, you guessed it: What is so.fa.dog? The second one, Why should I care? might sound a bit harsh, but that’s exactly why it needs an answer. So let’s get to it!

What Is so.fa.dog?
As we beautifully, eloquently, and, truth be told, very officially put, so.fa.dog is a passion economy marketplace designed to bring together content creators and their fans.
So…what exactly does this mean?
Let’s expand a bit.
If you’re a content creator, you know very well how hard it can be to make a living. Sure, if you’re big enough (and by big we mean HUGE), you’ll get certain benefits from platforms such as YouTube, but if you don’t exactly have millions of followers, you’re left pretty much on your own.
For you, it’s mostly about keeping up appearances for brand deals’ sake, and whatever little ad revenue shares you can get. And if you’re doing niche content, resonating only to a very specific and/or very small audience, you’re in even less luck.
This is precisely the reason why we created the so.fa.dog app. We believe content creators should receive fair pay for all the hard work they put into their videos. That’s why we’re huge fans of paid subscriptions, and believe a paid subscription is the fairest and also the easiest, most direct way to monetize content.
So How Does it Work?
Well, it all comes down to two things: the phenomena known as passion economy, and a creator’s most valuable asset—their fans.
We talked about passion economy HERE, but to sum it up, passion economy is about turning the creator’s passion into a livelihood by creating valuable content for a group of like-minded people—their true fans.
These true fans—the ones who are willing to give a little extra for the content you produce—are also the ones willing to pay for your so.fa.dog content. Just invite them over and see what happens. We dare you!

As for the practical side of things, it’s fairly simple.
